Honor the wisdom of your becoming.

This signature Women’s Weekend Retreat reunion is an invitation to slow down and listen—to your body, your breath, and the deeper intelligence shaped by time and lived experience. Together, we gather to honor the cycles we have moved through, the season we stand in now, and the steady unfolding still ahead.

This weekend offers spaciousness for connection, reflection, and ease. Through movement, shared meals, meaningful conversation, time in nature, and moments of simple delight, we celebrate the woman you are and the woman you are becoming: embodied, wise, rooted, and beautifully full of self.

Step away from the pace of daily life and into the grounding rhythm of the mountains for a weekend of self-discovery and renewal. You’ll laugh, soften, relax into being. We’ll embody ways of being that feel sustainable and true—carrying them gently back into your life at home.

Perched above the clouds in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Elohee Retreat Center offers a breathtaking setting to rest, reconnect, and remember yourself. This movement-based, soul-nourishing gathering was created by Shari Fox and Mandy Roberts—longtime friends and women leaders devoted to honoring the depth, clarity, and wholeness that naturally emerge when women give themselves time, space, and trust.

"And I said to my body softly, ‘I want to be your friend.’ It took a long breath and replied, ‘I have been waiting my whole life for this."

YOUR RETREAT guides

MANDY ROBERTS

Retreat Co-Leader
Mandy Roberts is a yoga teacher, studio owner, retreat leader, and mother, guided by a lived devotion to embodiment—listening for what the body is asking for, and learning how to answer honestly.

Her classes are experiences rather than instruction. Warm, rhythmic, sometimes sweaty, always tender. Breath leads. Music carries. Story slips in where words help sensation land. Mandy teaches in a way that invites people back into themselves—into strength that feels grounded, into play that feels sacred, into the quiet relief of being met exactly where they are.

Yoga found Mandy long before she knew what it would ask of her. In the years that followed, life began to unravel in ways she never could have planned for. Her marriage of 16 years ended. The life she had organized herself around dissolved. As a stay-at-home mother standing inside grief, uncertainty, and profound identity shift, Mandy leaned into her mat to feel what was true. Breath by breath, yoga became a place where heartbreak, unraveling, and becoming could coexist.

Not long after, she was unexpectedly handed stewardship of a struggling yoga studio—what would become the bustling community of FORM yoga. What felt surreal at the time revealed itself as cosmic alignment. Teaching, holding space, building community—this was the work her body and heart already knew how to do.

Through the years that followed—raising children, shaping a business, dating in midlife (gasp!), navigating the collective strain of the pandemic and a very changed world—yoga remained her anchor. During COVID, Mandy chose care over urgency, community over profit, and trust over fear, tending a space where people could stay connected when so much felt fractured. That choice reshaped her from the inside out and continues to form the culture she leads.

Mandy teaches with vulnerability and deep presence, letting her own lived experience remain visible. She shares openly—her mistakes, her grief, her growth, her joy—believing that truth spoken with care creates permission for others to lean in. Her teaching does not perform wisdom; it lives inside the questions.

Her path of study spans decades and disciplines, weaving together yoga, breathwork, nature reverence, animism, ancestral lineage healing, intuitive development, and embodied inquiry. These influences live quietly within her teaching as textures that inform how she listens, sequences, speaks, and pauses.

Mandy’s work is rooted in the understanding that healing happens in relationship. Each class and retreat is part of a living tapestry—of stories shared, breaths taken together, and a community shaped by care rather than urgency. What unfolds is the quiet relief of belonging.

SHARI FOX

Retreat Co-Leader

Shari Fox is a retreat host, women’s group leader and mother, devoted to one guiding question: what opens up when we leave urgency behind and come back to our own deeper rhythm?

Her work is a response to the pace so many women have been asked to live in—hurry, performance, constant availability and the quiet erosion of inner listening. She is devoted to creating the antidote to that in spaces where time slows down enough for women to really hear themselves.

Women come in when they are ready for a pause—not as escape, but as return. Shari’s gatherings are warm, embodied, and gently invitational. They are rooted in presence, creativity, reflection and connection. Spaces where nothing needs to be performed. Shoulders soften, breath widens and a kind truth emerges. Nothing is asked of you except that you arrive as you are. There is space for silence. For laughter. For the long exhale you didn’t realize you were holding.

After years of leading retreats, Shari fairly reluctantly followed an inner calling and stepped into sabbatical. That season became a deep listening space for her body and life, where rest, presence and generational healing moved through in unexpected ways. Postpartum complications (hello, adrenal fatigue, chronic pain, anxiety, depression and insomnia) and long-held patterns of stress gradually began to soften until something beautiful emerged: a life that truly feels hers.

With over 20 years of experience in yoga, somatic care, meditation, holistic psychology and embodiment-based inquiry, Shari is an E-RYT, Yoga Teacher Trainer, Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider, and Certified Enneagram Teacher. Her first company, Soul Nourish, was a beloved home for women’s retreats, adventures and embodied learning with Mandy.

Today, she’s having fun in her “she shed” Field of Wildflowers, an evolving personal project that began as a simple experiment in doing things differently. It’s an artistic, living inquiry into what happens when a woman begins to prioritize her inner life as much as her outer one. She adores slow yoga, hiking, process art, closet makeovers and gluten-free baguettes. She has way too many art supplies and cool rocks.

Shari sees each retreat as part of something larger we are all participating in—a reweaving of how we live, how we listen, and how we belong.

"Meeting other women, hearing their stories, realizing I'm in good company on my journey, even when I feel alone. The connections I made were transformational. The yoga was wonderful, with no judgment and options. I felt comfortable in my skin.
Thank you Mandy for a phenomenal experience."

—T. l., 2024

“Being with Shari is like the deep inhale of crisp, clean air on a mountain peak. Restorative, inspirational, and life giving to all the nooks and crannies of the soul that have been waiting to hear, ‘I see you.’ Her insight and intentions pave the way for transformation for anyone ready to receive.”

— ASHLEY M, 2024

“Leaving the chatter and distractions at the door; we move our bodies, feel our feelings and soften rigid behavioral patterns; we roar, laugh, pray, sing; contemplate, rest and breathe deeper; we fill up the inner well so that we can show up in our lives rooted, rested, and spiritually connected.”

― Chameli Argdah

“A circle of women may just be the most powerful force known to humanity. If you have one, embrace it. If you need one, seek it. If you find one, for the love of all that is good and holy, dive in.”

FAQ

Do you have to be "good" at yoga to attend this retreat?

Heck no. Absolutely not! We wouldn’t dream of it.

In the west, when people think of Yoga they often focus on the poses. This is just one aspect of the practice. If you never touch your toes or always lose your balance, that’s all good. Yoga isn’t about perfection. In fact, sometimes when we are “good” at performing the poses we totally miss the magic of Yoga.

Our approach to Yoga is steeped in mindfulness, presence, and support. At FORM yoga we believe Yoga is for everybody and every body. We believe there is no perfect pose, only the perfect pose for you in each moment. We believe the “no pain, no gain” approach is absolute BS. We believe a few deep breaths can make everything better.  We believe vulnerability is a superpower. We believe all adults should get more chances to play. We believe in encouragement. We believe in taking risks. We believe in the power of community. We believe in being seen and seeing each other. We believe in laughing when we fall and supporting our friends when they fall. We believe in the beauty of trying again (and perhaps even finding the levity in the experience!).

If our approach intrigues you then perhaps you have found your perfect retreat!

We hear this again and again: “This was so much more than a yoga retreat.”

While yoga is a beloved part of our weekend together, it’s only one piece of a much larger, soul-nourishing journey. Our retreats are intentionally crafted as immersive experiences of personal growth, embodiment, and inner transformation. Each element—movement, mindfulness, ritual, creativity, storytelling, rest, and community—is thoughtfully woven to support your return to wholeness.

We move through a developmental arc that invites you to release old stories, reconnect with your inner wisdom, and remember who you are beneath the busyness of life. Expect laughter, maybe a few tears, inspiration & insight, connection, play, deep rest, and realignment with your heart’s truth. It’s truly magical and one reason our programs sell quickly.

This isn’t about perfect poses.
It’s about coming home to yourself.

No matter if you have explored mediation, self development,  and yoga or whether you are a complete beginner to any or all of these practices, you are welcome here. If your soul feels called to join us we believe you are ready!

Absolutely.

We love sharing the embodiment of yoga! No matter if your friends are seasoned yogis or brand new to Downdog, they will be supported.

We want to make it as easy as possible for you to get away!

Included in your price is your cozy cabin accommodations for Friday and Saturday night, all delicious meals and drinks from dinner Friday until lunch on Sunday. All planned retreat programming & classes, a sweet little welcome gift, access to the 24-hour tea house, mountain-top pond, porch and pond lounge areas, and access to hiking and woodland waterfall trails. Please note that taxes will be added by Elohee during your registration upon your room selection.

Expect space to relax, healthy and delicious food, abundant nature, body-positive and accessible movement.

You’ll experience concepts to ponder, tender moments to cherish, deep belly laughter, playful practices, deep breaths and a-heck-of-a lot-of sweetness.

You’ll be surrounded by immense stars, gorgeous vistas, fresh mountain air, and other women seeking the same kind of experiences as you.  And chances are you’ll leave with an extra sense of aliveness, feeling refreshed, inspired and ready to return home with handfuls of new soul friends!

“I encountered trust in a real way. Trust in the earth to bring me back to joy, trust in my "sisters" to understand me better, and trust in the decisions I have to make. This was a magical, and energizing retreat. This was my first adventure on one of Shari’s retreats. Let me just say that I didn’t want it to end. I’m back home now and feeling more empowered to take better care of my soul and nurture my creativity. This retreat gave me that motivation, and I’m grateful.”

— Anna K, 2026

"This is so much more than a yoga retreat. This is a soul retreat that uses yoga as one of the many tools to bring peace, healing, understanding, connection, and space. Mandy’s presence, knowledge, openness, and magnetism are truly what make these retreats so special."
